A Victorian Wedding

19820800-AntiquesandCollectibles-AVictorianWedding Susan Heymann wrote a lovely article in Antiques & Collectibles magazine about the elaborate research and preparations that author Jeanne Madeline Weimann made when planning her Victorian-themed wedding, and mentioned our assistance in bringing her vision to life.

An Excerpt:

Jeanne Madeline was intent on making the wedding as authentically Victorian as possible, from her gown to the bouquets, and spent about four months researching all the little details that made the wedding a most beautiful spectacle.
While working on her A & C article, Jeanne Madeline discovered Antiques at Traders Cove*, a most unique Port Jefferson shop which rents antique wedding gowns. It was there she found the perfect dress: a Victorian styled champagne colored gown with puffed sleeves, lace detail, and a large sash around the waist.

We also supplied outfits and costume pieces to the rest of the bridal party, the bride’s mother, and the ringbearer.

In addition to our extensive collection of Victorian clothing, props, and accessories, we have items suitable for themed weddings from many eras. Please view our gallery of wedding items here: Wedding Gallery

*At the time, our business was called Antiques at Traders Cove!
