Three Village Historical Society’s Culper Spy Ring Spirit Tour 2014

This year’s Spirit Tour held by the Three Village Historical Society took place on October 18th, and was very well-received due to the popularity of AMC’s miniseries, “Turn”, about George Washington’s Culper Spy Ring. This annual evening walking tour is a fantastic way to learn about the history in our own back yards.

Historically set in the Caroline and Presbyterian Church Cemeteries in Setauket, NY, this interactive exhibit featured real-life patriots and other historical figures related to the little-known Culper Spy Ring that was active during the American Revolution from 1778 to 1781, all of which took place here on Long Island.

We provide all of the historically-accurate costumes and props for this amazing event each year, and with the success of this year’s tour, we hope they do a sequel! Either way, we’re looking forward to the Three Village Historical Society’s 36th annual Candlelight House Tour in December.

Here are a few photos from the tour, more will be added as we receive them!
